New home lock up stage inspections Surf Coast

Things are getting “real” when your new home reaches what is referred to as theĀ  “lock-up stage.” Roofing is on, windows, doors and cladding are installed, with plastering just about to start. This is one of the key junctures when it is recommended to get your “lock-up inspection report”. With the amount of construction on the Surf Coast and at Armstrong Creek between Geelong and Torquay, it is essential to discover potential issues and have them rectified now rather than after completion.

We recommend reports at three different stages during the build.

  1. window stage
  2. lock up stage
  3. final handover or PCI

The lock-up stage building inspection enables us to identify those issues and defects that can be rectified more readily now rather than when the building is completed. With over 40 years of experience, the team at Surf Coast Building Inspections can give you the peace of mind that your new home is on track and is built to a quality specification.
