We chose Steve after reading the other reviews and were very impressed. A thorough report arrived on the same day as our inspection, which was immediately followed up with a text message inviting me to call him to discuss the report in more detail once we had a chance to read it. The report and follow up conversation gave us confidence in the house we were buying, but also highlighted a few issues we can easily rectify after settlement that we otherwise might have missed. In our case, Steve's experience as a builder in the local area proved very valuable, as he was able to talk to the owner/builder in some detail regarding the house's construction.

Steve did a pre-purchase building inspection for us. He was easy to liaise with and flexible with the vendor. Steve spent a substantial amount of time at the property checking the buildings integrity and followed up with a very thorough report and phone call to explain it. Steve even attended the property a second time with us to show us his concerns and navigated the situation well with vendor and agent present too. We felt reassured by how thorough Steve was and feel confident now in what we’re taking on and future work that might be required with the property. We would highly recommend his services!

We engaged Steve to conduct a pre-purchase building inspection in March this year. He provided an extremely comprehensive report and spent time on the phone with us going through key issues. Steve has helped us with a subsidence and drainage issue in the highly reactive clay soils found along the Surfcoast. As our home is only 10 years old we were extremely concerned about the matter. Over the top with his report. Even with so many years experience he compares a old house to a new build home. As a structural engineer I was confused with his report on my house that he supplied to the buyer, after getting a second opinion from another inspector we found his report unprofessional.
