Steve did a pre-purchase building inspection for us. He was easy to liaise with and flexible with the vendor. Steve spent a substantial amount of time at the property checking the buildings integrity and followed up with a very thorough report and phone call to explain it. Steve even attended the property a second time with us to show us his concerns and navigated the situation well with vendor and agent present too. We felt reassured by how thorough Steve was and feel confident now in what we’re taking on and future work that might be required with the property. We would highly recommend his services!

Steve has helped us with a subsidence and drainage issue in the highly reactive clay soils found along the Surfcoast. As our home is only 10 years old we were extremely concerned about the matter. Over the top with his report. Even with so many years experience he compares a old house to a new build home. As a structural engineer I was confused with his report on my house that he supplied to the buyer, after getting a second opinion from another inspector we found his report unprofessional.

We are extremely happy with Steve's work - we contracted him for a pre-sale building inspection and his work was highly detailed and thorough. He saved us a few very big headaches! We contacted him late on a Sunday and he got back to us straight away and was able to travel to us to complete the inspection first thing the next morning. He was very generous with his time and even gave us additional advice regarding the possibility of renovation works. We will definitely use Steve again in the future for any building inspections and can't recommend him enough!

I genuinely can’t fault Steve... my experience with his indepedent building inspection for our NEW home build in Torquay has been enormously valuable and is the best money I ever spent... we’ve had an absolute disaster of a time with the builder (onto our 3rd site supervisor now) to not finishing on time, shoddy workmanship and not building to standards... without Steve, we would be left with a ‘poorly’ built house where now we will have everything sorted and a GREAT build thanks to Steve’s ‘attention to detail’, his advice along the way and how quick he is to respond... i’m still waiting to hear back from the initial build inspectors we were allocated (NorthPoint BS), safe to say I would never recommend North Point, absolutely ‘hopeless’ and signed off on all sorts of ‘poor workmanship’...
